In my practice I join seemingly unrelated aspects to explore the narrative that emerges at their intersection.  

My use of embroidery associates the conceptual junction of the masculine with the feminine in order to create a dialogue on gender norms and contemplate notions of masculinity

I reappropriate derogatory terms used to refer to marginalized people and place them in a context that toys with its meaning.
